This is year 25!! I have now traveled in 49 states, 6 Canadian Provinces, and several European countries with this travel oriented business. Can you believe it? And Mary has been there as my chief supporter for 23 of those years. As we start another season, we have many exciting activities planned, some new and some past favorites. Come and join us. Take a look at the larger overnight trips. Many of the overnights and Best of Broadway tours have early sign ups which impact your decision time.

Many trips have also risen in price. This is caused partly because in Washington State the minimum wage raised 14 % over last year which will raise the price of everything. Also, when the fuel prices raised a couple of years ago everything did a price increase also. Now hotels and admissions are 25 -50% higher than they were just 5 years ago. For example, theater prices at the Shakespearian festival have tripled since we were there in 2010!

According to the Department of Homeland Security, after Jan 22, 2018, Washington State driver licenses probably won’t be accepted as proper ID for airport security checkpoints because they are non-compliant with the REAL ID Act of 2005. The Enhanced Driver License available through the Dept. of License is within compliance and you might want to upgrade to it when you renew your license. If not, you will need a passport or passport card even for domestic flights.

Thought for the day: “You are not here merely to make a living. You are here to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, and with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world. You impoverish yourself if you forget the errand.” President Woodrow Wilson.

Visiting Canada for day or overnight trips: Trips across the border require either a current passport or an enhanced driver's license or enhanced ID card.  We submit pre-crossing lists to the border patrol that include your legal name (as it is on your picture ID), your birthdate, gender, and state of residency.  Visit: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/inadmissibility/index.asp to check for possible reasons you might not be admitted, including a DUI in your past.
