Hutterites, Harrington Garden Tour and Lunch**

Aug 16, Wed; begins 8:00 AM Visit the Moses Lake Hutterite Community. Learn about this conservative religious German-speaking farming group that practice communal living. They share all monies, teach German and  religion in German. Eat their delicious home cooked meal. Tour includes one loaf of bread. Ross Cedar Grove & Amber Bear Country Inn Lunch***

It creates a spiritual experience. Amber Bear Inn is a quaint country inn nestled in the hollow of Beaver Peak on a 400-acre wildlife sanctuary. It is bordered on the south by the Kootenai National Forest and near the Cabinet Mountains. The area is Montana's only rain forest and contains an impressive variety of trees, plants, wild berries and wildflowers. Birds and wildlife abound. Long Beach Kite Festival, 2 Steam Train Rides, Mt Rainier, Mt St. Helens ***

Aug 22-27, Tues.-Sun.; begins 8:00 AM Kites, Beaches, and Trains, Oh My! Join us for this Oregon and Washington coast line, seashore to mountain adventure. At  Long Beach, fly a kite, watch others fly a kite both indoors and outdoors, or just enjoy the ocean during our two night stay. Our journey takes us along the Coastline from Garibaldi, Oregon to Long Beach, WA. Experience the Oregon Scenic Steam Train along the Oregon coast. Enjoy the Mount Rainier Steam Train ride. B-Reactor Tour - Formerly a Top Secret Site and lunch*

Aug 31, Thu.; begins 7:15 AM Formerly a  top-secret site, this B-Reactor now offers tours. Part of the Manhattan Project originally, it helped develop the Atomic Bomb. Learn how it worked, discover the worker's conditions, and why it was retired from its work. This is on the Hanford Reservation and the tour lasts about four hours so plan a full day. Ashland Shakespearian Festival, Jet Boat on the Rogue River, Medford & Jacksonville **

Sept 11-15, Mon-Fri if you choose to fly to Medford. You'll need to provide your own transportation to & from the Spokane airport.
Sept 10-16, Sun-Sat if you choose to travel by bus; begins 8:00 AM Our hotel in Ashland is only a block away from the theaters where we'll see Julius Caesar, Shakespeare in Love, Off the Rails (a modern adaptation of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure) and Beauty and the Beast in an evening outdoor theater performance. We'll tour the Harry and David gourmet food gifts facility, have a wine tasting and dinner at a local winery, and take a 2 hr. jet boat trip on the upper Rogue River. We'll also see a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and the western gold rush theme town of Jacksonville. Haunted East Side Serial Killer and Ghost Tour*

Sep 22, Fri; begins 7:00 PM This two-hour bus tour follows the trails of some of America’s most notorious serial killers, lycanthropic (werewolf) psychopaths and cannibals who have plied their dark amusements in Spokane. Intermission will include refreshments at “The Checkerboard” – Washington’s century-old tavern in the haunted East Side of the City. Canadian Shopping Experience and Drug Prescriptions and lunch**

Sep 27, Wed; begins 8:00 AM  Nelson B.C. which offers fun shopping, a beautiful scenic drive and a chance to buy your prescription drugs at a reduced price.  Many people buy three months of medicine for one month's price. They also have Epi Pens over the counter for about $100. The shopping offers different distributors and products. For instance, the Canadian Safeway stores offer some English products. Pend Oreille Train Ride and Historical Museum and lunch**

Sep 30, Sat; begins 8:30 Pend Oreille Train rides return but on a different route. Starting this year the train travels along the Pend Oreille River from Newport to Dalkena. Along with this we'll explore the Pend Oreille Historical Society. They have an actual Fire Lookout building, One-Room School House, a Blacksmith shop, and many exhibits explaining the northern country's settlers, homesteaders, miners, and Lumberjacks. "Something Rotten", Best of Broadway, & Dinner*

Oct 4, Wed; begins 4:30 PM Set in the 90's, the 1590's, "Something Rotten" expresses  "an Explosion of Musical Joy" says NPR. With 10 Tony nominations, this hilarious smash hit pits two brothers who can't have their own hit play because William Shakespeare takes all the glory. "Lethal Lecture" Comedy Murder Mystery Dinner Theater*
